Wrightsville Beach Life Guard Stand Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina

The Wrightsville Beach Life Guard Stand was voted by the residents of Wrightsville Beach as the winning design of an A.I.A. design competition. The vote took place during the local municipal elections. The structure can be disassembled and removed from the beach strand during tropical storms and hurricanes. It offers the lifeguards protection from the sun, wind and rain. Twelve life guard stands were built to provide ocean rescue services for Wrightsville Beach.
